A total of ninety two masons and non masons, enjoyed an excellent day at Arcot Hall Golf Club on Tuesday 28th April 2009, despite torrential rain for part of the day.

The competitors for this annual event came from as far away as Cheshire. Indeed the overall winner, for the second time was Bro. Nigel Doyle of Kinder Scout Lodge in Cheshire.
Bro. Nigel travelled north with Bros. Alan Gibson, and Simon Knox.

After a most enjoyable meal, provided in style by the Arcot Hall Golf Club, Bro. Doyle was presented with the Norman Lodge Shield and other prizes by the Worshipful Master of Norman Lodge, W. Bro. David Atkinson, who thanked all the competitors for their support and friendship. Sixteen other prizes were then awarded for various categories of competition.

The North-East comedian Josh Daniels, then entertained with a mixture of music and comedy which brought the house down.

Once again W. Bro. Alan Dufton organised the day and was ably assisted by W. Bros. Doug Barkess, Bev Thompson, Barry Smith and John Pennington who ensured the smooth running of the day.
Our thanks are also due to the Arcot Hall Golf Club for the excellent facilities, service and food they provided.

Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors and competitors, and amount in excess of £1,500 was raised for charity.
